Dr Lim graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore (NUS), with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989. After graduation, she worked for 2 years at the Government Dental Clinic at SGH and at Alexandra Hospital Dental Clinic.
She subsequently went on to pursue a Master in Dental Surgery degree (Operative Dentistry) at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1994. She also served as an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney, teaching undergraduate dental students.
Upon her return from Sydney, she taught full time at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, from 1994-1998 and held the position of Senior Registrar at the NUH Dental Centre. She obtained Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in Operative Dentistry in 1998 and was later conferred Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in Prosthodontics in 2009. She is also registered with the Specialist Register as a prosthodontist.
In 1998, Dr Lim joined Omni Dental Centre while maintaining her passion for teaching. As a part time Adjunct Senior Lecturer, she teaches the undergraduate dental students at the Faculty of Dentistry, NUS. Dr Lim has also given lectures and published numerous articles both locally and internationally.
Dr Lim has special interests in cosmetic dentistry, implants, full mouth reconstructions, treating children and the elderly and in dealing with anxious patients. Dr Lim is also CEREC CAD/CAM and Invisalign accredited.
In her free time, Dr Lim enjoys cooking and playing the piano. She is also involved in dental mission work in Cambodia.
