Alda Dental Surgery - Tanglin Halt

Alda Dental Surgery has another dental clinic in Tanglin Halt. The Tanglin Halt dental clinic has been serving the community in the Commonwealth, Queenstown, Alexandra, Holland and Ghim Moh area since January 2000. We even have patients who come from Punggol, Sembawang and Tampines to see us for their dental needs.

Alda Dental Surgery – Tanglin Halt is primarily a family oriented general dental practice that takes care of the oral health of the young and the old. The dental clinic is run by a team of general dentists, Oral Health Therapist and visiting Dental Specialists who help manage some of the more complex cases.

To reduce radiation and protect our patients, we use digital x-rays for accurate diagnosis of certain conditions. We also use intra oral camera to educate patients and help them improve their oral conditions.

Our services include:

• Oral examination
• Scaling and polishing
• Fillings
• Dentures
• Tooth extraction
• Crowns and bridges
• Wisdom tooth surgery (Medisave claimable)

• Veneers
• Teeth whitening
• Dental implants
• Night guard
• Gum treatment
• Root canal treatment
• Orthodontic braces treatment

What we’re doing to ensure your safety in these times

Dear Patients,

Given the uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of COVID-19, we want to assure you that we have taken all the necessary steps to continue serving you in accordance with the Ministry of Health Singapore’s requirement.

The highest hygiene standards will continue to be reinforced. Our priority at all times is the safety of our patients and staff. In support of the extra COVID-19 measures taken by our government, we have implemented additional steps to keep our clinic safe for both patients and staff.

Measures taken:

  1. We pre-screen all our patients on the phone before they come into our clinic. All patients who have travelled overseas in the last 14 days or are in contact with persons who have been served Stay Home Notice (SHN) will have their appointments re-scheduled to a later date.
  2. All patients who have flu like symptoms will also have their appointments re-scheduled.
  3. It is mandatory for every person who enters the clinic to wear a face mask, have safe-entry scanned, their forehead temperature taken and Travel and Health declaration form filled at the front desk.
  4. All patients are required to clean their hands with hand sanitizer before and after dental treatment provided at the front desk.
  5. All patients to rinse with anti-bacterial mouthwash before commencing oral examination and treatment.
  6. Dedicated high volume suction machine used to reduce aerosol generated by certain dental procedures.
  7. All high contact surfaces are disinfected more frequently in the clinic.
  8. All public items such as magazines and newspapers have been removed from the clinic since these items are difficult to disinfect.
  9. Appointments have been re-arranged to reduce the number of patients in the waiting lounge.
  10. Seats in the waiting lounge are marked to support social distancing.
  11. Cashless transactions available.

As it has always been, your clinicians and staff are dressed in PPE, instruments continue to be sterilized and disposables used where applicable after each patient.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but this is in the best interest of all patients and staff. We remain as your partner in your oral health care.

Following MOH directives on safe-distancing measures, we will be limited in the number of patients we are allowed to see per day. As such, appointments will be scarce.

We seek your understanding that each appointment slot will be very precious and only given to patients who are genuinely in need and confirmed coming. We cannot afford to lose the appointment slots to “No Show” or “Last Minute Cancellation”. As such, our Front Office Co-ordinators will be confirming your appointments at 1 week, 48 hours and 1 hour intervals.

Kindly be informed that if you re-schedule or cancel your appointment, the next available appointment may be far away.

If you are late, you may not be seen as we may not have enough time to do the planned procedure in order to comply with MOH requirement for sufficient down time for disinfection of treatment room between each patient.

We will not be able to accept walk in. Kindly call 6475 7113 for appointments.

Please come alone for your appointment.

For the elderly, frail and young, limit to 1 person accompanying.

All patients need to wear their masks until they are seated at the dental chair.

All patients are required to scan safe entry, fill up Travel and Health declaration form, take temperature, sanitize their hands before and after dental treatment.

All patients are required to rinse their mouth with anti-bacterial mouthwash before commencing oral examination and treatment.
